About The Position

You’ll be part of a team that gets things done, works with purpose, and takes pride in the results. This internship offers an opportunity to assist in design deliverables with engineering, preconstruction, project management, procurement, and construction teams. You will also help develop and maintain 2D and 3D models, validate project quantities, and support field teams by clarifying designs and resolving drawing-related issues. This role is crucial for supporting continuous improvement of design processes and project execution practices.

Requirements

Currently pursuing a degree in Industrial Design, Drafting, or related field.
Familiarity with AutoCAD and related drafting/modeling tools.
Basic knowledge of Architectural, Electrical, Civil, and structural engineering construction practices and drawings.
Experience with Microsoft Teams, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

Assist in design deliverables with engineering, preconstruction, project management, procurement, and construction teams.
Assist in developing and maintaining 2D and 3D models of electrical equipment, systems, and site layouts.
Assist with validation of project quantities and identify discrepancies between design documents, procurement assumptions, and field installation requirements.
Utilize and follow established company drafting standards, templates, assemblies, and design practices.
Support field teams through design clarification, layout coordination, and resolution of drawing-related issues during project execution.
Identify design conflicts, constructability concerns, and coordination issues and elevate them to the appropriate project stakeholders.
Support continuous improvement of design processes, drafting standards, templates, and project execution practices.
Additional duties as assigned.
