About The Position

Creates model drawings and detailed construction drawings for homes to a national standard based on base models provided by design or plants. Performs calculations and analysis to support designs.

Requirements

Associates degree from a two-year college or technical school which includes advanced training in AutoCAD or two to five years' work experience using the AutoCAD software; or an equivalent combination of education and training.
AutoCAD software experience using 2019 or higher.
Microsoft Office 365
Team Player / Self Starter
The ability to manage time and work remotely without direct supervision.
Adaptive Learner
Should be familiar with building codes in the US.

Nice To Haves

HUD, Residential and Commercial codes are a plus.

Responsibilities

Creates designs from rough sketches, drawings, specifications, and other engineering data received from Senior Director of Regional manager.
Drafts detailed construction drawings and installations such as walls, roofs, floors, plumbing, water, electrical, cabinets, gas lines, duct prints, foundations elevations, etc.
Uses computer-assisted design (CAD) equipment and software to create detailed drawings.
Drafts detailed construction drawings of houses and installations such as walls, roofs, floors, plumbing, potables water, electrical, cabinets, gas lines, duct prints, pier blocking, elevations, etc.
Drafts and tracks approvals submitted to third-party agencies.
Confers with direct manager and other departments as needed to resolve design details or problems.
Lays out, redesigns, and modifies home arrangement, and interconnections components and systems.
Utilizes knowledge of various machines, engineering practices, mathematics, building materials, and other physical sciences to complete drawings.
Shows dimensions, material to be used, and other information necessary to make detailed drawings clear and complete.
Generates calculations for the analysis of selected designs using approved software.
Manage multiply tasks as priorities may change based on current needs.
Other duties may be assigned.
