About The Position

Direct Start is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Drafter to join our team on a full-time basis. As a Drafter, you will be responsible for creating technical drawings and plans for construction projects. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a strong background in drafting and a passion for detail-oriented work.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in drafting, architecture, or a related field
Minimum of 2 years of experience in drafting, preferably in the construction industry
Proficient in CAD software, such as AutoCAD and Revit
Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate and precise drawings
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Familiarity with building codes and regulations

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of construction materials and methods is a plus
Willingness to learn and adapt to new software and technology

Responsibilities

Collaborate with engineers and architects to create accurate and detailed technical drawings for construction projects
Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software to produce 2D and 3D drawings
Review and analyze technical specifications and blueprints to ensure accuracy and completeness
Make necessary revisions and modifications to drawings as needed
Maintain organized and up-to-date project documentation
Communicate with project managers and other team members to ensure timely completion of drawings
Stay updated on industry standards and best practices for drafting and design
Participate in project meetings and provide input and suggestions for improvement
Adhere to company and industry safety standards and regulations
