This requisition may be filled as either a level 2 or level 3. This requisition may be filled at a higher job grade based on the qualifications listed below.

Requirements

Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government clearance
Familiarity in creating detailed 2D and 3D models
Ability to collaborate with engineers to ensure proper design.
Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite
Experience with or knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) principles
Experience with component selection, qualification, and application in electronic or mechanical systems
Bachelor's degree and 2 years of related experience; 0 years with a Master's. An additional 4 years of related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. (for Level 2)
Bachelor's degree and 5 years of related experience; 3 years with a Master's; 0 years with a PhD. An additional 4 years of related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. (for Level 3)

Nice To Haves

Proficient in CAD software including NX, CAD CREO, or SOLID WORKS
Experience with Siemen’s Teamcenter or similar PLM systems
Experience in developing Electronic Part specifications, particularly using military or Industry requirements and specifications
Experience with technical writing for documentation purposes
Excellent attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills
5 years’ experience detailing mechanical/electrical parts and assemblies
Familiar with ASME Standards
Strong mechanical knowledge is beneficial

Responsibilities

Utilize computer-aided design tools to create, modify, and detail engineering drawings for parts, assemblies, and installations based on established layouts and standard data in a field of specialization such as structures, devices, mechanics, electrical, or electronics.
Completes details of major layout drawings prepared by others in accordance with standard engineering drafting practices.
Interpret design sketches, engineering notes, and specifications to produce technical drawings
Develop and maintain accurate drafting documentation, including assembly drawings and schematics.
