About The Position

Coffman Engineers is seeking a Structural CAD Drafter/Designer for our Portland office. The successful candidate will assist in creating drawings and project documents from information provided by engineers using various computer-aided design (CAD) and building information modeling (BIM) platforms such as AutoCAD, Revit, etc. They will be responsible for independently completing design and drafting assignments, ensuring a high level of quality and on-time delivery.

Requirements

3 or more years’ experience in drafting and design
Advanced CAD, layout, and BIM skills
Experienced with the latest release of AutoCAD and REVIT design tools
Computer skills necessary for daily activities including email, word processing, spreadsheets, BlueBeam, and graphics

Nice To Haves

Experience in structural buildings and framing preferred
Technical or associate degree in engineering or related sciences preferred

Responsibilities

Assist in creating drawings and project documents from information provided by engineers using various computer-aided design (CAD) and building information modeling (BIM) platforms such as AutoCAD, Revit, etc.
Independently complete design and drafting assignments, ensuring a high level of quality and on-time delivery.
Work with numerous project teams to help with project completion.
Work from detailed sketches to produce computer-generated graphs, charts, overlays, and simple isometric drawings.
