About The Position

Creates new and revised RF product design using CAD (Computer Aided Design) equipment into assemblies, piece part drawings, assembly drawings, outline drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams and bill of material. Details include all views and dimensions necessary for machine parts and assembly documentation. Creates PCB schematics and layouts. Prepares routine to complex layouts for final product design using customer and engineer-supplied data. Assists in analysis of problem areas and recommends solutions. Inputs bill of material in ERP system. May consultant with customers and/or outside vendors as needed to discuss design problem areas and to ensure product meets all requirements.

Requirements

  • Solid understanding of drafting techniques and familiarity with engineering terminology.
  • Mechanical aptitude with ability to complete basic to statistical mathematical calculations.
  • Knowledge of 2D AutoCAD and Inventor 3D modeling.
  • Microsoft products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook.
  • Knowledge of PCB layout software, Diptrace or equivalent.
  • General understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing, (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5M.
  • General knowledge of machine screws per ASME B18.6.3.
  • Minimum of 2-year technical school certification in drafting and math.

Nice To Haves

  • Other 3D modeling software is helpful.
  • Associate degree in mechanical Computer Aided Design or directly related job experience preferred.
