About The Position

The CAD Drafter is primarily responsible for drafting and blueprint creation, technical order entry, document control, computer system/database management and some methods/routing documentation maintenance. Proactively supports a culture of safety and quality as top organizational priorities. Actively participates in ongoing training initiatives and collaborates with team members and leadership to share information in a structured process.

Requirements

• At least an Associate’s Degree in STEM-related discipline or equivalent work experience
• 2-4 years of experience with Solidworks software or similar
• Proficiency with blueprint drawing using Solidworks or equivalent
• Familiarity with blueprint reading, drawing and tolerancing disciplines
• Familiarity with 3D Viewing, imaging, and drawing of complex geometries
• Proficient in basic math including algebra, geometry, and trigonometry
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint
• Basic knowledge or relational databases
• Strong communication and writing skills
• Ability to work with other team members at all corporate levels
• Ability to work independently in a self-motivated fashion
• Strong organizational skills with high functioning work prioritization and time management
• Ability to multitask and handle stressful work deadlines

Nice To Haves

• 4+ Years drafting experience
• Hands-on experience with manufacturing
• Hands-on experience with measurement systems

Responsibilities

• Create working drawings for all stages of the component build process
• Create working drawings from the measurement of solid customer samples
• Maintain daily part revisions throughout the entire drawing and database system
• Assist in the creation, revision and modification of part routings
• Control all drawings within document control system and protocols
• Assist in the continuous updating and upgrading of MRP system
• Other engineering and administrative duties and projects as assigned
