The primary responsibilities of the Dozer Operator include the safe and efficient operation of heavy equipment such as loaders, dozers, skid steers, and other similar machinery. The role also involves working around mobile aggregate mining and crushing equipment and effectively monitoring all equipment under their control.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
• Good safety, behavior, and attendance record.
• Ability to work out of town for multiple days.
• Ability to work collectively in a team environment with co-workers and managers.
• Willingness to do other work as needed, including heavy labor.
• Willingness to work outside in all weather extremes.
• Willingness and ability to work a flexible schedule, including swing shift, graveyard shift, overtime, and weekends/holidays as required.
• Ability to work near, around, or on light or heavy equipment.
• Lift objects of various dimensions and up to 75 lbs. occasionally and 50 lbs. frequently.
• Ability to repeatedly climb stairs and ladders.
• Ability to repeatedly balance, bend from the trunk, crawl, kneel, push and pull objects.
• Ability to use vibration producing tools frequently.
• Ability to tolerate working outdoors in all environmental temperatures and weather conditions.
• Ability to repeatedly reach, squat and tolerate prolonged standing/walking/sitting.
• Ability to frequently walk on uneven surfaces.
• 1 year of experience as a Dozer operator.
• 2 years of experience as a Heavy Equipment Operator.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor heavy equipment (Loader, Dozers, Skid Steer, and various other similar equipment) in a safe and efficient manner.
• Work around mobile aggregate mining and crushing equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance, including greasing and fueling.
• Conduct pre-shift inspections of equipment.
• Repair and/or clean equipment as needed.
• Maintain overall housekeeping of the plant, equipment, and site.
• Complete all necessary paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
