The Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) is seeking a DOT Procurement Officer II to join their Office of Procurement. This journey-level position is integral to MTA's business goals, managing multifaceted and complex procurements such as Invitation for Bids (IFB), Request for Proposals (RFP), sole source, intergovernmental cooperative purchasing agreements, and emergency procurements. These activities support MTA's capital programs and operational goals by procuring transportation-related equipment, services, construction materials/services, supplies, and information technology equipment/services for all forms of public transit. The role involves soliciting, evaluating, negotiating, and awarding contracts in compliance with governmental procurement laws and regulations. Employees in this classification do not supervise others and report to a Procurement Manager I or designated administrator. The current vacancy is located in Baltimore City, Maryland.
