About The Position
This position will assist with performing materials lab testing. Requirements
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States and provide identification supporting citizenship or authority to work for the duration of program participation.
- Participants are required to comply with all statutes and rules and the Department’s policies, procedures, regulations, and Code of Ethics.
- Knowledge of engineering tools, equipment and/or instruments.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and move around uneven terrain without assistance.
- Male applicants born on or after October 1, 1962, will not be eligible for hire or promotion in the Career Service, or appointment in the Selected Exempt Service (SES) or Senior Management Service (SMS), unless they are registered with the Selective Service System (SSS) before their 26th birthday, or have a Letter of Registration Exemption from the SSS.
Responsibilities
- Assist with performing laboratory testing and reporting results in the appropriate database.
- Assist with keeping all testing equipment calibrated, clean, and in good working order.
- Assist with keeping work surfaces and workspace organized, clean, and safe.
