About The Position

Mullens Markings is looking for a detail-oriented DOT Compliance Administrator to join their team. This position plays a critical role in supporting their pavement marking operations by ensuring their drivers, fleet, and compliance programs meet all applicable DOT and FMCSA regulations. The ideal candidate is organized, enjoys working with regulations and documentation, and takes pride in helping operations run safely and efficiently. Mullens Markings provides professional pavement marking services throughout Virginia, Maryland, North Carolina, Kentucky, and Tennessee, and is proud to be an operating company of Road Safety Services (RSS).

Requirements

  • 3+ years of DOT compliance, transportation compliance, fleet administration, or related experience.
  • Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations and DOT compliance requirements.
  • Experience maintaining Driver Qualification (DQ) files.
  • Experience administering DOT drug and alcohol testing programs.
  • Working knowledge of Hours of Service (HOS) regulations and Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs).
  • Experience preparing for and supporting DOT audits.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and compliance software.
  • Valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in pavement marking, traffic control, roadway safety, transportation, construction, or heavy equipment industries preferred.
  • Ability to travel occasionally to support operating locations as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain Driver Qualification (DQ) files, including Motor Vehicle Records (MVRs), Medical Examiner Certificates, CDL documentation, and Annual driver reviews.
  • Administer DOT drug and alcohol testing programs, including random testing requirements.
  • Monitor Hours of Service (HOS) compliance and Electronic Logging Device (ELD) records.
  • Track driver violations and assist with corrective action documentation.
  • Maintain vehicle inspection, maintenance, and compliance records.
  • Coordinate DOT audits and assist with regulatory inspections.
  • Ensure compliance with FMCSA regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain DOT and compliance documentation, records, and reporting.
  • Track employee licenses, certifications, and required compliance training.
  • Prepare reports and documentation for internal and external audits.
  • Assist with updating compliance policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records within compliance management systems.
  • Support the EHS team with compliance documentation and reporting.
  • Assist with incident documentation and recordkeeping.
  • Maintain safety training records and regulatory files.
  • Support Workers' Compensation, vehicle accident, and general liability documentation as needed.
  • Perform other compliance-related duties as assigned.
