About The Position

Methodist Hospital is seeking a Dosimetrist to join its radiation therapy treatment planning team. The Medical Dosimetrist is familiar with the physical and geometrical characteristics of radiation equipment and radioactive sources used in radiation therapy. Under the direction of the Radiation Therapy Physicist and Radiation Oncologist, this role measures and generates radiation dose distributions and calculations. The position also involves expertise in fabricating electron cutouts and custom bolus. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, with 8-hour shifts. Requirements

Must have completed an accredited dosimetry school or completed on-the-job training in Medical Dosimetry.
Must meet the requirements to sit for and pass the CMD board exam within one year of hire.
Proven proficiency in operating a personal computer, telephone, fax machine, photocopier, printer, and electronic medical record.

Nice To Haves

Pinnacle3 and ARIA experience preferred.
AAMD membership preferred.
CMD preferred.
Knowledge of technical principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure patient safety.
Experience or knowledge with Varian TrueBeam, Varian 21ix, Varian Novalis, Philips Big Bore CT, Pinnacle3 Treatment Planning System, MIM Fusion Software, Mobius3D Dose Calculation Software, and ARIA Record and Verify System.

Responsibilities
