About The Position

Ganahl Lumber is seeking a motivated Inside Sales Representative with strong door and window product knowledge to drive residential walk-in business and deliver exceptional customer experiences right at the counter. In this role, you’ll be the first point of contact for homeowners, contractors, and remodelers walking through our doors. You’ll use a consultative approach to understand their needs, recommend the right solutions, and turn walk-in traffic into loyal, repeat customers. Requirements

  • Prior experience in door and window sales or a related building products industry
  • Consultative selling style with a genuine customer-experience-first mentality
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to process information quickly and accurately
  • Self-motivated and energetic, with a track record of hitting sales goals
  • Comfortable working in a team environment and contributing to a positive store culture
  • Strong people skills that translate into lasting customer relationships

Responsibilities

  • Greet and engage residential walk-in customers with hospitality and a customer-first mindset
  • Conduct consultative sales conversations to identify needs and recommend doors, windows, and related products that best fit their project
  • Accurately and efficiently write quotes, process orders, and manage follow-up to ensure smooth handoff to installation or delivery
  • Build long-term relationships with walk-in customers, converting one-time buyers into loyal accounts
  • Collaborate closely with Outside Sales, management, and the operations team to provide seamless customer experiences
  • Stay current on product knowledge, industry trends (energy efficiency, modern designs, smart-home options, etc.), and promotions
