About The Position
Rugby Architectural Building Products, operating as River City Millwork in Rockford, IL, is seeking a Door Shop Fabricator to join their growing team. This is a hands-on role ideal for candidates with experience in manufacturing, woodworking, assembly, machine operation, construction, or warehouse environments. The Door Shop Fabricator will help build and prepare interior and exterior doors and door frames for customers, combining manufacturing, assembly, woodworking, and warehouse responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Requirements
- Experience in manufacturing, assembly, woodworking, machine operation, warehouse, construction, or similar environments preferred.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, or production equipment is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work safely in a fast-paced production environment.
- Ability to regularly lift, move, and carry materials throughout the shift.
- Ability to move products weighing 75-100 pounds with team assistance.
- Dependable, self-motivated, and team-oriented.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Willingness to learn and grow with the company.
- Must successfully complete a background check, pre-employment drug screening, and any other job-related pre-employment requirements.
- Must be comfortable working in a production environment and performing physically demanding work.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate interior and exterior doors and door frames.
- Operate equipment such as table saws, routers, chop saws, nail guns, and other production tools.
- Assemble and customize doors to customer specifications.
- Assist with staging, loading, and securing products for delivery.
- Load and unload materials safely and accurately.
- Support warehouse operations, including receiving and storing materials.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Attend safety meetings and follow all company safety procedures and policies.
