About The Position

Quanex is looking for a Door Line Team Lead to join our team located in Rice Lake, WI. This role involves leading a team in a production environment, focusing on safety, quality, and productivity. The Door Line Team Lead will be responsible for setting up and troubleshooting equipment, assisting with planning and scheduling, and conducting audits to maintain an organized department. Requirements

• Demonstrates leadership potential, with previous team lead experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to motivate others and have productive conversations with employees.
• Dependable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented.
• Manufacturing knowledge and experience operating manufacturing machinery preferred.
• Strong mechanical skills and troubleshooting ability.
• Safety-focused, with knowledge of lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and proper machine guarding.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example with a positive attitude, dependable attendance, and a willingness to help others.
• Support safety, quality, and productivity expectations by conducting safety audits, ensuring proper PPE use, and consistently following quality procedures.
• Communicate effectively, coach employees, address concerns, and promote teamwork and accountability.
• Collaborate across departments to resolve conflicts, identify problems, and develop effective solutions.
• Set up and troubleshoot departmental equipment and products.
• Assist with daily planning and scheduling.
• Conduct regular 5S audits to maintain an organized department with readily available tools.
