Door Fabricator JM3
About The Position
The JM3 Door Fabricator is responsible for assembling preformed raw materials and machined parts into doors, hatches, and other closure related products in accordance with relative blueprints. The ability to complete jobs in a timely efficient manner, read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements, and train/direct JM2, JM1 Fabricators and other subordinates on advanced processes are key aspects of this role. The fabricator will fit and tack parts together in preparation for welding, perform precise fitting work on components, and fabricate Closures IAW with Blueprints at an advanced level with no assistance. They must also adhere to and promote all company safety policies, wear required PPE, and promote a clean and safe work environment.
Requirements
- Must be certified Welder
- Must have a minimum of 5+ years of door/closure building experience and/or skill set
- Must be able to speak and understand Basic English
- Blueprint proficiency
- Ability to troubleshoot major welding equipment problems
- Must be able to evaluate the use of various resources and make knowledgeable decisions regarding safety, production and company procedures and policies
- Must have the ability to take instruction
- Able to read a tape measure
- Able to operate 4” & 7” grinders, drills and various other shop tools
- Must present a valid export document (U.S. Birth Certificate, Certificate of Naturalization, Passport, Passport Card and Permanent Resident Card) for E-verify and contract security purposes
