About The Position

The JM1 Door Fabricator is responsible for assembling preformed raw materials and machined parts into doors, hatches and other closure related products in accordance with relative blueprints.

Requirements

• Ability to manage work productively
• Blueprint proficiency
• Ability to troubleshoot major welding equipment problems
• Must be able to evaluate the use of various resources and make knowledgeable decisions regarding safety, production and company procedures and policies
• Must have the ability to take instruction
• Able to read a tape measure
• Able to operate 4” & 7” grinders, drills and various other shop tools
• Must adhere to and promote ALL company safety policies. Wear all required PPE when in Production areas and promote a clean and safe work environment.
• Minimum of 2+ years of door/closure building experience or fabrication background.
• Must be able to speak and understand Basic English

Responsibilities

• Complete jobs in a timely efficient manner
• Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements
• Take direction from JM2 & JM3 fabricators to complete assigned tasks
• Fit and Tack parts together in preparation for welding
• Perform precise fitting work on components
• Blueprint & Weld symbols proficiency
