About The Position
This position is responsible for accurately estimating the cost of door division products and materials for customer projects. The Door Division Estimator will work closely with sales, project management, and operations teams to ensure competitive and precise bids are submitted.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in estimating, preferably in the building materials or construction industry.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with door division products and systems.
- Familiarity with estimating software.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field.
Responsibilities
- Review project plans, blueprints, and specifications to determine material and labor requirements for door systems.
- Calculate material costs, labor costs, and overhead for accurate project estimates.
- Prepare and submit detailed bid proposals to customers.
- Collaborate with sales and project management to understand customer needs and project scope.
- Maintain a database of material costs and supplier pricing.
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding estimates and bids.
- Stay updated on industry trends and product knowledge related to door systems.
