About The Position

This role will play a key part in continuing to uphold our reputation and providing exceptional service to our guests. As a member of the Guest Services team, you will ensure total guest satisfaction through prompt and efficient service in a courteous and professional manner. This position meets and greets each guest arriving to or departing from the Hotel. Assists in parking, baggage handling, direction and transportation needs. Works closely with Valet Parkers, Key Control, Bell staff, Shuttle Drivers, and Host/Hostesses. Leads door staff and oversees door operations. Requirements

  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or related experience and/or training.
  • Previous experience with providing exceptional customer service
  • Valid Drivers License
  • Any employee driving a Broadmoor vehicle must be 18 years or older
  • The employee is occasionally required to lift/pull/push up to 100 pounds with assistance.
  • Enthusiastic, friendly, and energetic team member who works well with others
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Smile and welcome guests with a positive attitude that supports the philosophy of The BroAdmoor Hotel.
  • Meet and greet guests arriving via all forms of transportation.
  • Assist the Valet staff with moving and parking vehicles.
  • Ensure golf bags, luggage and packages are marked with correct names.
  • Attend daily pre-shift meetings.
  • Answer phones, take messages, and respond to phone calls as needed in a timely manner.
  • Replenish necessary supplies.
  • Give general directions and information for The Broadmoor and Colorado Springs area.
  • Assist with loading/unloading vehicles.
  • Direct guests to off property attractions, restaurants, zoo, stables, or airport, and assists in arranging transportation.
  • Assist with removal of snow in guest services areas and the placement of ice melt when necessary.
  • Ensure accuracy of marked damage, vehicle information, and valet number on Temporary and Overnight vehicles.
  • Ensure important information and details are passed along to the next shift.
  • Check out with supervisor at end of shift.
  • Maintain confidentiality of any guest information.
  • Leads the door staff by executing standards and holding others accountable for the same.
  • Prioritize tasks and communicate these tasks to other members of the door staff.
  • Manage break times.
  • Plan for events and high volume periods.
  • Direct and control traffic flow in front of the Hotel providing guidance, verbal and non-verbal, to vehicles and staff.
  • Ensure effective communication with Valet staff, Key Control, and managers.
  • Ensure that valet cars are parked safely and secured.
  • Ensure work area is clean at all times.
