Door Assembler - 2nd Shift Will Train
About The Position
Assembly, fabrication or modification of windows, doors and other items. This role involves cutting, screwing, stapling, nailing, gluing, caulking and assembling of wood, metal and glass materials into door and window units. Responsibilities also include putting away or stocking inbound materials, performing regular inspections, routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment, loading company and customer vehicles with outbound materials, and safely operating a forklift to assist in handling of materials. The role also requires sweeping and cleaning facilities, observing all safety rules, and assisting in counting inventory.
Requirements
- Must be able to read and write so that written instructions and shipping papers can be easily followed and that corrections and needed information can be easily filled.
- Analytical Skills - Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem.
- Must be able to pass our forklift operators test after a normal training procedure.
- Must have skills working with basic wood working and metal working tools.
- Must be able to work in a team environment.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of carpentry or construction a plus.
