About The Position

Join LifeServe Blood Center, a non-profit community-based blood center serving local hospitals and patients since 1947. As one of the 15 largest blood centers in the country, LifeServe provides blood products to over 175 hospitals primarily in Iowa, Nebraska, South Dakota, and Illinois. This role offers great pay while receiving valuable training in a healthcare-related field, with a minimum starting wage of $18.75 per hour and typical promotion at 6-8 months. All training for primary responsibilities is provided, including interacting with and registering donors, conveying the importance of saving lives, performing medical history screenings, and performing phlebotomy blood draws. Assistance with mobile and donor center setups and tear downs is also part of the role. The position requires availability for all hours, including Saturdays, with shifts varying daily and weekly.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Working knowledge and experience working on computer system required
  • Shifts may require long periods of standing/ walking
