About The Position

STARS is seeking a Donor Relations & Development Officer for their Winnipeg base in the Foundation department. This role is responsible for leading strategic donor growth and expanding donor relationships by identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding major gifts and sponsorships. It is ideal for a relationship-builder motivated by purpose, blending strategic fundraising with meaningful community impact in a not-for-profit environment.

Requirements

• Post-secondary education plus 3–5 years’ experience in sales or fundraising/development, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Proven success soliciting major gifts from individuals, corporations, and foundations
• Consistent track record of exceeding annual revenue targets
• High energy, initiative, and a results-driven mindset
• Commitment to the highest ethical standards
• Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and research skills
• Demonstrated ability to build and sustain long-term relationships
• Able to work independently while contributing effectively to a team
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with tact and diplomacy

Nice To Haves

• Experience with prospect management databases (Raiser’s Edge preferred) is an asset.
