About The Position

Nexus Family Healing is looking to hire a Donor Marketing Manager to join their Marketing and Communication team. For over 50 years, Nexus has been a leader in youth and family mental health, empowering thousands of children, families, and adults to find hope and healing across five states. The Donor Marketing Manager will be responsible for establishing donor marketing strategies to drive prospect acquisition and align with the goals of the Nexus Foundation for Family Healing. This role involves close collaboration with the Marketing and Communications team and the Foundation Team to identify potential donors, promote giving campaigns, and manage donor communications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and related experience in marketing, communications and philanthropy
  • 5+ years experience in marketing and/or communications
  • 3+ years experience working with a development and/or engaging donors
  • 2+ years working with CRM software (Blackbaud preferred but not required)
  • 2+ years experience developing, tracking, communicating, and attaining strategic departmental goals, objectives and performance indicators.
  • Working knowledge of nonprofit donor marketing best practices
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Office, Office 365, and ability to learn computer software programs
  • Valid driver’s license required. Must meet state regulating agency and Home Office driving requirements

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement engagement strategies for identifying and engaging potential donors.
  • Develop and execute first-time-donor focused fundraising campaigns.
  • Utilize data, testing, and best practices to identify donor attributes and implement tactics that bring prospects further down the funnel of giving.
  • Develop annual giving strategies focused on first-year givers and renewal of the core donor base using various tactics such as direct mail, online, and peer-to-peer fundraising.
  • Collaborate with the Donor Services Director to review data and adjust plans regarding renewal of support, increased support from existing donors, and re-activation of lapsed supporters.
  • Collaborate with the Digital Marketing Manager and Sr. Communications Manager to execute campaigns across marketing platforms and establish a consistent presence for foundation activities.
  • Lead the development of core fundraising materials and engagement tools such as newsletters, reports, presentations, emails, welcome packets, and employee-giving materials.
  • Actively work to identify youth success stories and articulate/share the impact of donations to youth and families through various channels.
  • Work with the Digital Marketing Manager and Communication Manager to maintain an active level of written and digital awareness and correspondence with all donors.
  • Partner with the Foundation team to establish annual revenue goals and track progress towards those goals throughout the fiscal year.
  • Establish acquisition performance indicators.
  • Collaborate with the Donor Services Director to analyze and interpret donor data including giving frequency, consistency, responsiveness, and events attended.
  • Identify giving trends and patterns and create growth goals and objectives.
