About The Position

Ideastream Public Media seeks a passionate, self-motivated fundraising professional to support its Individual Giving team. Reporting to the Manager of Donor Relations, the Donor Engagement Manager enhances donor experience, engagement, and satisfaction to increase retention and giving over time. The role manages a tiered portfolio of 500–700 mid-level donors, identifies donors with capacity for additional giving, creates personalized touchpoints based on donor interests and giving, and executes strategies to achieve individual and organizational goals. The manager works closely with Philanthropy Directors to transition donors seeking deeper engagement with Ideastream.

Requirements

Ability to build meaningful relationships with donors, community partners, and supporting organizations.
Proficiency using CRM databases.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong decision-making, project management, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work evenings and weekends as required.
A bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field, and three years of experience in development, donor relations, membership, events, or a similar role are preferred; equivalent experience in related fields and education will be considered.
