Donor Engagement and Stewardship Coordinator

About The Position

This role collaborates with team members and colleagues across the advancement community to actively coordinate projects for the benefit of leadership and principal gift donors and prospects. The position involves preparing and writing correspondence for senior Institute officers, researching and analyzing for initiatives and projects, maintaining databases and tasks, supporting impact reporting, and interfacing regularly with colleagues. The coordinator will help develop and implement strategic and comprehensive stewardship plans for individuals and targeted groups of donors and potential donors, and assist in the execution of strategies, processes, and materials in support of gift acknowledgments, giving societies, and other donor engagement and recognition activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • A minimum of two years of relevant work experience in a high volume and complex organization
  • Experience managing projects and improving processes
  • Excellent communications skills (oral and written)
  • Experience with content writing and research
  • Knowledge about stewardship programs in higher education
  • Ability to exercise discretion and sound independent judgment
  • Ability to analyze, synthesize, and present information clearly
  • Ability to solicit information across departments, interact well with others, and serve as an ambassador
  • Strong initiative, motivation, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize work assignments, and meet tight deadlines, while maintaining precise attention to accuracy and detail
  • Advanced user of the Microsoft Office suite and computer systems
  • Proficiency with complex databases

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Ellucian Advance Web and FileMaker
  • Experience and interest in higher education and/or advancement
