About The Position

Canadian Blood Services is looking for a Temporary Full-time Donor Centre Supervisor to join their dynamic Donor Centre team in Edmonton. The role involves managing all Donor Centre staff and volunteers involved in mobile and permanent Centre events, having full accountability for a group of assigned direct reports, and attending Donor Centre events.

Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience is preferred.
Sound knowledge and previous experience in blood collection, regulatory, and continuous quality improvement environments.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written in English, are essential.
Demonstrated effective problem-solving skills and the ability to take initiative.
Possess a leadership skillset to build teams and have a passion for achieving results and a commitment to customer service excellence.
Must have a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for travel to clinic locations.
Availability to work any day of the week.

Nice To Haves

Proven leadership ability is essential.
Experience in plateletpheresis and plasmapheresis programs would be considered an additional asset.

Responsibilities

Manage all Donor Centre staff and volunteers involved in mobile and permanent Centre events.
Have full accountability for a group of assigned direct reports.
Attend Donor Centre events.
Ensure optimal clinic flow, a high level of service, and compliance with Canadian Blood Services policies and procedures, including those related to health and safety.
Ensure staff performs duties in an effective, efficient, and professional manner.
Interview, hire, and complete all aspects of performance management, including progressive discipline as required.
Ensure the needs of the donor, volunteer, and the public are met.
Provide timely communication to staff, prompt follow-up for donor and staff concerns, and respond to on-site media inquiries.
