Customer Service - Blood Collection Team
About The Position
Looking for a career where you can help people, build valuable healthcare skills, and make a difference every day? As an entry level phlebotomist on our Blood Collections Team, you'll travel to regional blood drives and work directly with donors to collect blood and blood products that save lives. No previous blood collection experience is required. In this hands-on position, you'll guide donors through the donation process while collecting the blood and blood products that hospitals rely on every day. At Vitalant, Your Impact is Vital! Requirements
- High School graduate or GED
- Valid in–state driver's license and suitable driving record
- Must have personal reliable transportation
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Basic working knowledge of Windows operating system, keyboard usage and PC.
- Must be able to read and comprehend written procedures and instructions.
- Must be able to work flexible shifts, varied schedules, overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Must have good customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment and participate as an active team member.
- Ability to travel, as required.
Responsibilities
- Create an exceptional donor experience by welcoming, educating, and caring for donors throughout the donation process.
- Perform blood collections while ensuring donor safety, comfort, and confidence.
- Maintain accurate records and follow all quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Drive company vehicles of all sizes, set up and operate equipment at mobile blood drive locations.
- Contribute to a mission-focused team committed to ensuring blood is available whenever and wherever patients need it.
