About The Position

The Donor Care Coordinator will work closely with program staff, cremation providers, and donor families to ensure continuity, accuracy, and dignity throughout the donor's journey through the program. The position requires exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, discretion, and the ability to approach human remains and donor materials with professionalism and respect.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree and one year of related experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills in situations possibly involving grieving or emotionally distressed individuals and other staff.
Advanced written communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure, to adjust to constant changes and to handle multiple tasks
Ability to effectively use electronic inventory systems, databases, spreadsheets, and other computer-based tools to accurately track donor remains, specimens, urns, and associated materials.

Nice To Haves

Experience in an University, Donated Body Program, and/or Funeral Home setting.
Experience with digital inventory systems.

Responsibilities

Coordinate with program staff and external service providers to ensure the appropriate and respectful disposition of donor remains.
Coordinate the preparation and return of cremated remains to donor families while maintaining accurate documentation related to cremation and final disposition.
Maintain and reconcile accurate inventories of donor urns, cremated remains, specimens, and other donor-associated materials, investigating and resolving discrepancies as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
