About The Position

Accepts merchandise donations according to procedures in manual. This position requires working outdoors. The role involves greeting customers, maintaining a cheerful disposition, and providing superior customer service. It also includes loading and sorting materials, maintaining records of donations, and providing accurate reporting to the Operations department. The position requires performing housekeeping duties to maintain premises in compliance with safety and housekeeping practices, including vacuuming and cleaning restrooms, some of which will require working outside in the elements. It also involves shipping and receiving duties such as unloading and loading trailers (may use powered equipment) safely and efficiently. The role requires a willingness and ability to work as a team member and independently, embracing an empowerment and continuous improvement culture. The attendant will display and encourage the ability to offer suggestions and make decisions that will positively impact the store and cause business to grow. The role involves accepting and loading donations of clothing, furniture, appliances, and other household goods, as well as performing sorting and packing tasks to secure donations and maintaining records and reports of donations.

Requirements

• Must maintain the ability to pass a criminal background check and random drug screens.
• Demonstrate a willingness and ability to work as a team member.
• Demonstrate the ability to work independently.
• Able to accept and load donations of clothing, furniture, appliances, and other household goods.
• Able to perform sorting and packing tasks to secure donations.
• Able to maintain records and reports of donations.
• Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred, but not required.
• Box Truck experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities
