About The Position

Goodwill Easterseals Miami Valley is seeking a Full-Time Donation Center Attendant for their Centerville location. This full-time position requires open availability and weekend hours. The role involves accepting merchandise donations outdoors according to manual procedures.

Requirements

Must maintain the ability to pass a criminal background check and random drug screens.
Able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
Occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and taste or smell.
Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred, but not required.
Box Truck experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

Accepts merchandise donations according to procedures in manual.
Greet customers and maintain a cheerful and pleasant disposition.
Maintain superior level of customer service to meet agency standards.
Load and sort materials on trailer according to instructions.
Maintain records of donations and materials; provide accurate reporting to Operations department.
Perform housekeeping duties to maintain premises in compliance with Agency safety and housekeeping practices, including vacuuming and cleaning of restrooms, etc., some of which will require working outside in the elements.
Perform shipping and receiving duties such as unloading and loading trailers (may use powered equipment) safely and efficiently.
Accept and load donations of clothing, furniture, appliances, and other household goods.
Perform sorting and packing tasks to secure donations.
Maintain records and reports of donations.
