About The Position

Be the First Connection to Goodwill's Mission. This role involves welcoming and assisting donors, sharing Goodwill's mission and donation guidelines, and keeping donation areas clean and organized. The Donation Attendant creates a positive donation experience by answering donor questions, sorting and processing incoming donations, thanking donors for their contributions, and providing donation receipts when requested, while helping to maintain efficient operations.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist donors
• Share Goodwill's mission and donation guidelines
• Keep donation areas clean and organized
• Create a positive donation experience
• Answer donor questions
• Sort and process incoming donations
• Thank donors for their contributions
• Provide donation receipts when requested
• Help maintain efficient operations
• Welcome donors with professionalism and appreciation
• Assist with unloading donations
• Provide information about Goodwill's programs and services
• Ensure every donor has a positive experience
• Receive, assess, and sort donated items
• Follow donation handling and pricing guidelines
• Maintain accurate donation records
• Support inventory flow and organization
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Follow all safety procedures and lifting practices
• Assist with loading and unloading deliveries
• Operate equipment such as pallet jacks (training provided)
