The Department of Community Corrections is currently seeking qualified applicants for a Domestic Violence Pretrial/Probation Officer to work as part of the Domestic Violence Unit and collaborate effectively with the Pretrial and Probation Divisions, as well as the Electronic Monitoring Team. The selected candidate will be responsible for conducting both pretrial and probation intakes, supervising pretrial defendants and probation offenders, performing criminal history record and background checks and risk assessments, administering drug tests, coordinating supervision of electronic monitoring, conducting substance abuse and domestic violence assessments regarding risk and lethality, making appropriate treatment referrals, collaborating with the Victim Outreach Officer and treatment providers, submitting reports to the Court, attending domestic violence dockets and probation review hearings, bond revocations/arraignments, violation hearings, and testifying in court, as required. Hiring salary will be commensurate with experience.
