About The Position

Summit Psychological Associates, Inc. is seeking a clinician to facilitate Domestic Violence/Anger Management groups for clients referred by the courts. The groups focus on topics such as power and control, anger management, communication, healthy relationships, and substance use. The facilitator will guide discussions, ensure clients understand and apply concepts, and manage homework completion. Groups are run separately for male and female perpetrators, using specialized manuals. The role involves completing brief group notes, participating in training, and receiving supervision from a clinical staff member. The group leader will also communicate client progress to the courts and assist in gathering outcome data. Summit Psychological Associates, Inc., founded in 1984, is a mental health center committed to providing comprehensive, evidence-based behavioral health care. They work closely with the court system and probation/parole services, serving individuals involved with the criminal justice system or child protective services. This position is part of the Forensic Services team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a human services field or working toward a master's degree in counseling or social work.
  • Experience in facilitating psychoeducational groups, especially anger management groups.
  • Completion of a background check after hire.

  • Applicants with CDCAs, LCDC I or II licensure are welcome to apply.
  • Prior experience in facilitating psychoeducational groups is preferred, especially anger management groups.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate Domestic Violence/Anger Management groups for court-referred clients.
  • Provide psychoeducation on topics such as power and control, anger management, communication, healthy relationships, and substance use.
  • Facilitate discussions to help clients understand and incorporate group topics into their daily lives.
  • Oversee client homework completion for each group session.
  • Complete brief group notes for each group member, documenting participation and progress.
  • Communicate client progress to the courts.
  • Assist in gathering outcome data on group programming.
  • Participate in training for running Conflict Solutions groups.
  • Receive supervision from a clinical staff member.
