About The Position

This role requires working a minimum of 8 hours per day, 5 days per week, with flexibility for overtime on weekends and holidays as dictated by the distribution schedule and manager. The position involves independently planning and coordinating work activities, operating equipment requiring specialized knowledge, and estimating the speed of moving objects for safe vehicle operation. Responsibilities include the safe and efficient manual organization of items onto skids, ensuring accurate and efficient completion of customer orders, assisting with finished goods inventory, and performing routine aisle audits. The role also demands responsible equipment operation, maintaining a clean working environment, and marking and distributing customer orders efficiently for timely ground transport. Specific duties include packing orders with appropriate materials for safe shipment, reconciling UPS WorldShip reports at the end of shifts, and ensuring accurate packing, marking, and documentation for hazardous material shipments. The position requires operating various computer systems, including desktop and UPS WorldShip. Additionally, the individual must be able to carry out essential duties outlined in the Order Selector Job Description or other assigned duties by the Distribution Manager.

Requirements

High School Diploma/GED preferred
Experienced in driving powered industrial trucks (PIT) (End Control Rider)
Ability to understand and carry out oral and/or written instructions.
Ability to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.
Ability to count and make simple arithmetic additions, subtractions, multiplications and divisions.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
Must read and write English.
Perform simple math calculations.

Responsibilities

Successfully complete a D.O.T. training course every 3 years.
Adhere to all personal safety rules and procedures.
Pack orders using appropriate size cartons and dunnage materials for safe movement of shipments.
Perform end of shift reconciliation of UPS WorldShip reports.
Ensure all hazardous material shipments are packed/marked correctly, and documentation is completed and accurate.
Operate various computer systems such as desktop and UPS WorldShip.
Carry out the essential duties outlined in the Order Selector Job Description or other duties assigned by the Distribution Manager.
