About The Position

This role requires working a minimum of 8 hours per day, 5 days per week, with flexibility for overtime on weekends and holidays as dictated by the distribution schedule and manager. The position involves planning and coordinating work activities, operating equipment requiring specialized knowledge, and estimating the speed of moving objects for safe vehicle operation. Responsibilities include organizing items onto skids, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in completing customer orders, assisting with finished goods inventory, performing aisle audits, operating equipment safely, maintaining a clean working environment, marking and distributing customer orders for timely ground transport, packing orders using appropriate materials, reconciling UPS WorldShip reports at the end of shifts, and ensuring hazardous material shipments are correctly packed, marked, and documented. The role also involves operating various computer systems, including desktop and UPS WorldShip. Additionally, the employee must be able to perform the essential duties outlined in the Order Selector Job Description or other duties assigned by the Distribution Manager.

Requirements

High School Diploma/GED preferred
Experienced in driving powered industrial trucks (PIT)
Ability to understand and carry out oral and/or written instructions.
Ability to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.
Ability to count and make simple arithmetic additions, subtractions, multiplications and divisions.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
Must read and write English and perform simple math calculations.
Must successfully complete a D.O.T. training course every 3 years.

Responsibilities

Independently perform aisle audits on a routine basis.
Ensure safe and responsible equipment operation and work practices.
Maintain a clean working environment.
Mark and distribute customer orders in an organized and efficient manner for timely ground transport without error.
Successfully complete a D.O.T. training course every 3 years.
Adhere to all personal safety rules and procedures.
Pack orders using appropriate size cartons and dunnage materials for safe movement of shipments.
Perform end of shift reconciliation of UPS WorldShip reports.
Ensure all hazardous material shipments are packed/marked correctly, and documentation is completed and accurate.
Operate various computer systems such as desktop and UPS WorldShip.
Carry out essential duties outlined in the Order Selector Job Description or other duties assigned by the Distribution Manager.
