About The Position

The Monster Minders is seeking a Dog Walker to join their team in Society Hill and Old City. This is a weekday position, Monday through Friday, typically between 10:00 AM and 4:30 PM. The role involves 8 to 12 walks per day with established clients, requiring the ability to work independently, stay active, and build relationships with dogs and their owners. The company emphasizes that dog walking is a real profession and values its employees as team members, not gig workers.

Requirements

• Strong written communication skills
• Reliability, professionalism, and attention to detail
• The ability to work independently and manage a field-based schedule
• The ability to comfortably walk 5 to 6 hours per day
• Access to reliable transportation (bike, scooter, motorcycle, or car)
• A commitment to staying in the position for at least one year
• Comfort working outdoors year-round in a variety of weather conditions
• Confidence handling dogs of different sizes, breeds, and energy levels

Nice To Haves

• Experience caring for dogs, either personally or professionally

Responsibilities

• Complete dog walks Monday through Friday between 10:00 AM and 4:30 PM
• Safely handle dogs of all sizes, breeds, and personalities
• Travel between clients' homes throughout the workday
• Write thoughtful visit updates and communicate professionally with clients
• Work comfortably in all types of Philadelphia weather, including heat, rain, and snow
• Participate in paid training and occasional paid staff meetings
