About The Position
The Comforted Canine is seeking reliable, responsible dog lovers for a flexible, part-time independent contractor position providing in-home dog sitting visits and dog walking in the Fort Worth, TX area. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working independently, love dogs, and want meaningful work caring for pets while their owners are away. You will set your own availability and service area, and the company will match you with clients. This position offers the opportunity to build trust with repeat clients and provide peace of mind to pet parents.
Requirements
- Experienced with dog care, especially in a pet sitting capacity
- Confidently handle dogs from small to large
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Strong written communication
- Comfortable working independently in clients’ homes
- Smartphone with reliable internet & camera
- Medication experience (oral, injections, fluids)
- Holiday & weekend availability
Responsibilities
- Feeding dogs and refreshing water
- Cleaning up waste
- Giving playtime, affection, or companionship based on each dog's personality
- Sending visit updates and photos through our app
- Following each client’s detailed care instructions
- Bringing in mail or packages
- Adjusting lights, blinds, or trash/recycling when requested
- Administering medication when within your experience and comfort level
