About The Position
The Comforted Kitty is seeking reliable, responsible pet lovers to provide in-home dog or cat sitting visits and dog walking services in the Orlando, FL area. This is a flexible, part-time independent contractor position where sitters can set their own availability and service area. The role involves caring for dogs and cats while clients are away, ensuring pet parents have peace of mind and building trust with repeat clients.
Requirements
- Experience with dog or cat care, especially in a pet sitting capacity
- Ability to confidently handle dogs from small to large
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Strong written communication skills
- Comfortable working independently in clients' homes
- Smartphone with reliable internet & camera
- Medication administration experience (oral, injections, fluids)
- Holiday & weekend availability
Responsibilities
- Feeding and refreshing water for pets
- Cleaning up pet waste
- Providing playtime, affection, and companionship
- Sending visit updates and photos through an app
- Following detailed client care instructions
- Bringing in mail or packages
- Adjusting lights, blinds, or trash/recycling as requested
- Administering medication if within experience and comfort level
