About The Position

The Dog Groomer is an integral position at Scenthound, offering grooming knowledge and providing grooming services to clients. This Dog Groomer position requires at least one year of grooming experience or graduation from a grooming school. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of dog breeds, care standards, and tools of the trade. Physical requirements include the strength to lift up to 70 pounds and the stamina to stand for long periods of time. A reliable transportation and a willingness to work in a smoke-free environment are also necessary.

Responsibilities

• Groom to Scenthound standards.
• Perform puppy cuts; one length all-over with a neat face.
• Create an environment conducive to learning, open communication, and teamwork.
• Identify when/ where help is needed and provide assistance to keep Scenter on schedule.
• Ensure the safety of dogs and team members at all times.
• Adhere to Scenthound sanitary and cleaning practices.
• Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by the Scenter Manager.
