About The Position

Beds-N-Biscuits in Wheat Ridge, CO is looking to hire a full-time Dog Groomer to groom our furry guests. This position involves keeping each pet clean and looking good, interacting with owners to understand their requests, bathing and grooming dogs kindly, and performing services such as clipping nails, cutting fur, and brushing teeth. The role also requires ensuring pet comfort and safety, maintaining clean grooming stations, and communicating with receptionists about finishing times. The job offers a fun environment for grooming both regular and new canine clients.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Professional grooming school graduate or at least 1-year equivalent grooming experience
• Proven humane pet handling skills
• Knowledge of dog breeds and anatomy
• Practical skills including bathing, brushing, clipping nails, and styling fur
• Knowledge of animal handling and safety
• Proven customer service
• Positive, can-do attitude
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to handle all dogs with care and patience
• Organized, detail-oriented, and reliable
• Ability to work well with others

Responsibilities

• Warmly interact and listen to owners to ensure their requests are filled.
• Bathe each dog and groom them in the kindest manner.
• Clip nails, cut fur, and brush teeth.
• Ensure each pet is comfortable and unharmed during grooming.
• Keep grooming stations locked and clean.
• Wipe up spills and pet accidents to keep the area safe.
• Update receptionists on when dogs will be finished with their grooming.
