About The Position

Four-Legged Fun Zone is seeking Dog Daycare Handler Assistants who have a strong foundation in handling off-leash dogs and are eager to develop their skills further. The role involves supervising and leading playgroups of 10-15 dogs, focusing on active leadership, behavior management, and ensuring safe, structured play. This position offers a predictable Monday-Friday schedule with no evenings or weekends, and a dedicated break area for staff.

Requirements

• Completed at least 25 shifts in the past six months where you spent at least 4 continuous hours actively supervising or assisting with supervising an off-leash dog playgroup of 4 or more dogs.
• Held at least one paid or volunteer animal-care position for 12 consecutive months or longer within the past three years.
• Live within 30 minutes of our facility and consistently arrive on time.
• Be able to stand and walk throughout the shift while confidently handling dogs weighing up to 150 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead off-leash playgroups of 10-15 dogs.
• Manage dog behavior and ensure safe playgroup dynamics.
• Implement structured introduction processes for new dogs.
• Handle dogs weighing up to 150 pounds.
• Maintain a consistent schedule and arrive on time.
