About The Position

Guidehouse is seeking financial management professionals to support a Department of Defense client. These teammates should possess a wide range of experience in financial management, accounting, audit, internal controls, and financial policy. The Guidehouse team will provide expertise in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards (GAGAS), Internal Control Over Financial Reporting (ICOFR), DoD financial management policies and procedures, and DoD organizational structures. They will also offer financial audit statements and audit readiness services, along with an understanding of current trends in enhancing compliance with accounting and auditing standards within Enterprise Resource Planning Systems (ERP). Furthermore, the team will provide knowledge of Office of Management and Budget (OMB) policies, federal financial management systems, and DoD acquisition, inventory, property, and material management.

Requirements

  • A currently ACTIVE and MAINTAINED "SECRET" Federal or DoD security clearance
  • Bachelor’s Degree; FOUR (4) years or more of relevant financial management experience may be used in lieu of bachelor’s degree
  • Two (2) or more years' experience supporting a Department of Defense "Financial Imporvement & Audit Remediation" (FIAR) project
  • Experience should include accounting, audit, budget, finance, internal controls, as well as other financial skillsets

Nice To Haves

  • An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED Secret Federal or DoD security clearance
  • Bachelor’s or Advanced Degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or Business Management/Administration
  • Currently possess one or more of the following certifications: Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Program Management Professional (PMP), Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM), Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM), Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL)
  • Federal Financial Management or Federal Accounting experience supporting the Department(s) of the Air Force, Army, and/or Navy

Responsibilities
