About The Position

Consumers Credit Union is looking for a passionate Documentation Specialist to join our team. As a Documentation Specialist, you will lead all aspects of the Business Services Department Documentation Specialist (DS) team to ensure the orderly flow of business documents through the Credit Union and through the Business Services department. In addition, the specialist will prepare documents related to all types of business entities and business loans and deposits.

Requirements

  • Thorough understanding of business/commercial documentation.
  • Ability to organize, implement and utilize checklists related to documentation, departmental operations and members.
  • Familiarity with operating system and reporting related to business services.
  • Familiarity with deposit related requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare all business loan documents per approvals that support and secure business loans in accordance with policy and procedures.
  • Ensure consistent documentation that is congruent with credit policy across the business loan portfolio.
  • Provide guidance to Commercial Loan Officers on documentation structure.
  • Organize and maintain electronic folders and OnBase files.
  • Identify and report new exceptions or cleared exceptions to the Credit Analyst and/or the Commercial Loan Officer (CLO) as appropriate.
  • Meet documentation exception goals set for the department.
  • Lead appraisal, title insurance and other due diligence related processes.
  • Ensure all loan and third-party fees have been collected.
  • Ensure terms of documentation and boarding of loans are accurate and consistent with loan approval.
  • Communicate with other creditors when appropriate and with outside parties such as the state, county, title company and the member.
  • Ensure timely follow up of all recorded documents or notices to ensure proper collateral position and notifications.
  • Record and track all security related documents such as fixture filings, UCC’s and mortgages.
  • Serve as a resource for credit union personnel related to document requests for business loans.
  • Perform all other responsibilities as requested by management.
