About The Position
The Documentation Specialist - Equipment Finance - Capital Market is responsible for independently reviewing and preparing of lease and loan documentation in accordance with internal policies and procedures to ensure accuracy, regulatory compliance, and timely closing. This mid-level role works directly with clients and internal partners to support the overall operational efficiency and quality of the department for excellence.
Requirements
- High School / High School Equivalency (GED, HiSET, TASC) / Foreign Equivalent.
- 7+ Years in banking, leasing, or financial services with 3+ years of documentation experience.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret legal and financial documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong organizational, communication, and critical thinking skills.
- Working knowledge of public finance and leasing structures.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple transactions under deadlines.
- Client-focused and collaborative work style.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in public funding or municipal finance.
- Familiarity with industry-specific documentation software.
Responsibilities
- Independently draft and review documentation in accordance with policies and applicable regulations.
- Act as a secondary point of contact for clients during transaction closings, coordinating with legal and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure accurate data entry into booking/funding systems and resolve discrepancies.
- Support training and provide guidance to entry-level documentation specialists.
- Stay current on regulatory updates and propose process improvements where applicable.
- Performs special projects, and additional duties and responsibilities as required.
- Consistently adheres to regulatory and compliance policies and standards linked to the job as listed and complete required compliance trainings.
- Accountable to maintain compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.
