The Documentation & Funding Manager is responsible for managing operations of the Regional indirect business channel as it relates to documentation preparation, review and funding coordination. This role provides oversight of the day-to-day operation and administration of Regional Direct business channel functions, including documentation preparation, documentation review, funding, and general ledger reconciliation. The manager will also provide subject matter expertise, guidance, and direction to employees within the department and across other business channels such as Vehicle Finance, Indirect Finance, Direct Finance, and Capital Markets. They will collaborate with other departments, team members, and clients to ensure a timely and efficient funding process, manage team workload, and keep clients informed of progress. This role serves as a direct liaison between Signature Bank Group Directors and Signature Financial Executive Sales Officers regarding transaction workflow and completion. Additionally, the manager will assist the VP, Director of Operations in creating and enforcing procedures for the regional direct business channel, recommend improvements, and assist junior staff with escalated issues and complex transactions. They will review and negotiate documentation modifications, make decisions based on industry knowledge and client financial understanding, and approve high-level funding and documentation exceptions while maintaining policy consistency. Quality control of transactions reviewed or prepared by junior staff is also a key responsibility. The role involves calculating Executive Sales Officer Incentive Credits and providing reports to management. The manager uses independent judgment to analyze and resolve problems and is responsible for talent management functions including employment, performance evaluations, staff development, disciplinary actions, succession planning, and ensuring compliance.
