The Documentation & Funding Manager is responsible for managing operations of the Regional indirect business channel as it relates to documentation preparation, review and funding coordination. This role provides oversight of the day-to-day operation and administration of Regional Direct business channel functions, including documentation preparation, review, funding, and general ledger reconciliation. The manager will provide subject matter expertise, guidance, and direction to employees within and outside the department, including other business channels such as Vehicle Finance, Indirect Finance, Direct Finance, and Capital Markets. They will work with other departments, team members, and clients to ensure a timely and efficient funding process, manage team workload, and keep clients informed of progress. This role also serves as a direct liaison between Signature Bank Group Directors and Signature Financial Executive Sales Officers regarding transaction workflow and completion. Additionally, the manager will assist the VP, Director of Operations in creating and enforcing procedures, recommending improvements, and supporting junior staff with escalated issues. They will provide guidance and participate in structuring complex transactions, review and negotiate documentation modifications, and approve high-level funding and documentation exceptions while maintaining policy consistency. Quality control of transactions reviewed or prepared by junior staff is also a key responsibility, as is calculating and reporting Executive Sales Officer Incentive Credits. The role requires independent judgment, problem-solving skills, and responsibility for talent management functions including employment, performance evaluations, staff development, disciplinary actions, succession planning, and ensuring compliance.
