About The Position

Nasittuq provides Operation & Maintenance services for the North Warning System (NWS). The NWS is a joint Canada and United States early-warning radar system with 47 sites located in Northern Canada; a Control Centre and Support Centre located in North Bay, ON and a Contract Management Office located in Ottawa, ON. Requirements

  • Diploma or degree in Records Management, Library Sciences, Information Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Government of Canada Secret Clearance
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Controlled Goods certification
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in document control, records management, or a related field
  • Experience working with ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems
  • Experience using document management systems (e.g., SharePoint)
  • Experience supporting audits and working within regulated or compliance-driven environments
  • Strong knowledge of document control principles, version control, and lifecycle management
  • Familiarity with technical documentation standards and controlled environments
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and document management systems
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
  • Collaborative, proactive, and solutions-focused mindset

Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain controlled documentation, including SOPs, work instructions, engineering documents, forms, and quality records
  • Manage the full document lifecycle including creation, revision, approval workflows, distribution, and archival
  • Coordinate document distribution and internal communications to ensure timely and accurate access
  • Maintain and ensure the integrity of the master document repository (e.g., SharePoint)
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards and Controlled Goods requirements
  • Manage official document transmittals to and from customers, ensuring traceability and contractual compliance
  • Provide guidance to sub-library representatives across multiple locations to ensure consistency in document control practices
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing, retrieving, and organizing required documentation
