About The Position

The overall purpose of this position is to produce/insert/mail printed products using various digital print technologies utilized by the company which includes but is not limited to Xerox, Pitney Bowes, BlueCrest, and Ricoh. If you are selected as the Document Services Operator, you will be responsible for ensuring effective operation of the digital print, insertion machines, and bindery equipment installed within the production environment as the technology may change from time to time or can be different in each ConocoPhillips location/operation.

Requirements

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • 1 or more years of experience in an office support or administrative role
  • Able to meet the physical demands and work environment requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation

Nice To Haves

  • 1 or more years of experience working in a digital printing production role
  • 1 or more years of experience operating the Xerox Nuvera 144MX MICR digital press, Xerox D110 digital press, BlueCrest Inserter, Intec envelope printer and all related print/bindery equipment
  • Intermediate understanding of Barcode/MICR specifications and use of validation templates for check printing
  • Basic proficiency in computer operations such as Microsoft Office, SAP, Adobe software
  • Basic knowledge of Quality, Safety and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for bindery equipment
  • Willing and able (with or without reasonable accommodation) to operate and maintain all production equipment including BlueCrest insertion machines, bindery equipment in the department which includes RenWrap shrink wrapper, Challenge punch, Ibico small punch, and Fastback hot melt binder

Responsibilities

  • Report all accidents/near misses to Supervisor
  • Set-up and operate digital printers and all other production/bindery/insertion equipment in accordance with Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) instructions in a safe manner
  • Meet with various business groups as needed to understand work requests and future projects
  • Retrieve and load correct paper/check stock
  • Locate, validate, and upload production files.
  • Monitor production for quality and accuracy in accordance with SOP and quality procedures
  • Utilize company OneCard to purchase supplies and materials from various vendors for print projects
  • Read information from work tickets/spec sheets, acquire needed materials, and load equipment with product and print files to customer specifications with the highest quality
  • Accurately enter work tickets and process/code invoices for payment
  • Knowledge of different paper specifications and machine/printer requirements for complete print solutions
  • Create weekly/monthly production reports
  • Monitor, inventory stock/supplies within production area and initiate timely requests for replenishment
  • Calibrate the MICR digital press(s) before printing checks
  • Specialty envelope printing including business replies, invites, window, and other misc. envelopes
  • Daily care and maintenance of equipment as directed or provided by the equipment manufacturer including, but not limited to, Xerox, Pitney Bowes, BlueCrest, and Ricoh
  • Operate sign machine/engraving equipment for all plastic signs
  • Troubleshoot and resolve computer, printing, insertion issues, work with vendor to resolve as needed
  • Adherence to ConocoPhillips life saving rules while operating with a safe working aptitude
  • Maintain the highest level of confidentiality prior to corporate and departmental announcements
  • Positively impacts overall morale of the group. Shows sensitivity when dealing with people with other backgrounds, cultures, and characteristics
  • Conduct complex automated inserting operations
