About The Position

This is a federal contracting opportunity that the Company is bidding on and has not been awarded. The availability of this position is contingent upon successful award of the contract. We are seeking a Document Preparation Technician to support digitization activities at the American Indian Records Repository (AIRR) and other Bureau of Trust Fund Administration (BTFA) locations. This role focuses on preparing records for digitization by identifying documents, inserting barcodes, removing fasteners, and organizing files according to BTFA Standard Operating Procedures.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year of related experience in a role involving document preparation, records management, clerical work, or other detail-oriented administrative tasks.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a moderate public trust adjudication.
  • Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a Real ID or Passport to undergo commercial airfare travel
  • Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a valid driver's license

Responsibilities

  • Prepare boxes and files for digitization following the Box Prep Guide and SOPs.
  • Insert barcodes to properly identify documents, boxes, or electronic files.
  • Remove paperclips, staples, tape, sticky notes, binders, and similar items.
  • Conduct light clerical tasks including filing, copying, inventory creation, and basic record handling.
  • Collaborate with digitization and quality control staff to maintain workflow consistency and accuracy.
  • Follow NARA and DOI records policies during document preparation activities.
