About The Position

The Document Management Technician performs various functions under close supervision, following standard operating procedures and guidelines. Key responsibilities include retrieving and copying incoming materials for eDiscovery requests, performing data entry to track work stats and statuses, and downloading, saving, and categorizing electronic data. The role also involves maintaining Excel sheets for tracking physical media movement, creating simple Excel reports, and serving as the point of contact for deliveries. Adherence to strict confidentiality and compliance standards is essential.

Requirements

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain Moderate Risk Public Trust (MRPT) facility credentials/authorization.
  • US Citizenship is required for MRPT facility credentials/authorization.
  • Ability to perform detailed work consistently, accurately, and under pressure.
  • Must be able to read and follow instructions.
  • Must be able to understand task, task objectives, and the context of the task in the litigation support effort as a whole.
  • Must take the initiative to ask questions when necessary to complete task correctly.
  • Must have typing/keyboarding skills and good communication skills.
  • Must be knowledgeable user of the Government's office and network environment, including but not limited to, word processing, database, spreadsheet, imaging, and telecommunications systems.

Nice To Haves

  • 40 words/min touch typing preferred.
  • Undergraduate degree preferred.
  • Litigation support experience valued.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor, demonstrate respectful and effective communication, and represent the organization positively in all interactions.
  • Be willing to work on a flexible or dead-line driven schedule including occasional evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Retrieve and copy incoming materials related to eDiscovery requests.
  • Perform data entry to track and update stats and statuses for all work performed.
  • Download, save, and categorize electronic data according to established procedures.
  • Maintain accurate tracking on an Excel sheet of data movement including receipt and returns of physical media.
  • Create simple and standard reports in Excel.
  • Serve as the point of contact for all deliveries for data sent via USPS, FedEx/UPS, couriers, and hand-delivery from Legal Case Team members.
  • Adhere to strict confidentiality and compliance standards.
